Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the website at stripkin.com (the "Site"), operated by WispMade LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Stripkin", "we", "us"). By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you accept them. The Site is a pre-launch marketing page with a waitlist on it. The Stripkin product does not exist yet and is not available to anyone.

1. The waitlist

  • Joining the waitlist lets us email you when Stripkin opens. It does not create an account, form a contract for the product, reserve you a place in a queue, or lock in a price.
  • We may change, delay or abandon the planned product, along with any feature or price mentioned anywhere on the Site, at any time and without notice.
  • Anything the Site says about what Stripkin will do describes what we intend to build. It is not a promise about a finished product, and you should not make decisions on the strength of it.
  • You can leave at any time. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and following it deletes your record rather than flagging it.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site. In particular, do not submit anybody's email address but your own, submit addresses through automated means, attempt to disrupt or probe the Site or the waitlist endpoint, attempt to determine whether a particular address is on the list, scrape the Site or its articles at scale, or use it for anything unlawful.

3. Our content

The Stripkin name, the logo, the design, the artwork, and the articles on the blog are owned by WispMade LLC and protected by intellectual-property law. You are welcome to quote an article with attribution and a link back. You may not republish our content at scale, present it as your own, or use it to train a machine-learning model, without our written permission. Rights we do not expressly grant, we keep.

4. Links to other sites

Our articles sometimes link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

5. Privacy

What we collect and what we do with it is set out in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, both of which form part of these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law permits. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that anything published on it is complete or current. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WispMade LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100), which reflects the fact that the Site is free and offers nothing for sale.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Talk to us first. Almost anything is resolved by an email. Before starting any formal proceeding, send a description of the problem and what you want to legal@wispmade.com and give us 30 days to sort it out in good faith.

If that fails, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration to the extent the law permits, and otherwise by the state and federal courts of Cook County, Illinois. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court, or ask a court to stop the misuse of intellectual property. If you are a consumer, none of this deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there where your local law gives you that right.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product develops. The new version will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use the Site after that means you accept it.
